GeoLock and Working hours are two optional security settings that limit what can be done from your Bron account. GeoLock works by place: you choose trusted locations. Working hours work by time: you choose the days and hours. Outside them, your account switches to restricted mode. You can use either setting or both at once.
What Restricted Mode Means
In restricted mode you can still view your balances and history, approve or reject your team's approval requests, and cancel pending actions. These actions are unavailable:
Adding, removing or editing users, addresses and transaction limits
Changing profile settings
Trusting a new device
One difference matters for transfers. Outside a trusted location (GeoLock), you can still create a transfer, but it waits for your security delay before you can sign it. Outside your working hours, transfers are unavailable until full access resumes.
When you're in restricted mode, the top bar shows an orange location pin (GeoLock) or Restricted until with the time full access resumes (Working hours). Click it to see the full list. Both settings are personal: they apply to your own sessions, not to other members of your workspace.
GeoLock
You choose up to five trusted locations, such as your home or office. Each one covers about 200 metres around the point you set. Bron compares your device's location with them. Outside all of them, or when Bron can't read your location, your account is in restricted mode.
How to Turn On GeoLock
Click Settings (the gear icon in the top bar), then Security → GeoLock.
Turn on the GeoLock switch and allow location access when your browser or the app asks.
Confirm with your 2-Step Verification code if you have it set up. Bron adds your current position as a trusted location named Home, with a 1-hour security delay.
To add another place, click Add new under Trusted locations, search for an address or move the map, click Set trusted location, name it and click Confirm.
To change the delay, click Security delay, enter a number of hours from 1 to 72 and click Save.
You can edit your trusted locations only while you're inside one of them. In the Bron Mobile App, open the Security menu, tap GeoLock, then Activate GeoLock. If location access is off, the top bar shows Location off and your account stays in restricted mode until you allow it.
Working Hours
You set one schedule: Every day, Weekdays (Monday to Friday) or Custom days, each with a start and end time. The schedule uses your device's time zone at the moment you save it, and the end time is inclusive: an end time of 17:00 gives you full access until 17:00:59.
How to Set Up Working Hours
Click Settings (the gear icon in the top bar), then Security → Working hours.
Click Edit next to Full access hours.
Under Days, choose Every day, Weekdays or Custom.
Set the From and To times.
Click Save and confirm with your 2-Step Verification code if you have it set up.
In the Bron Mobile App, open the Security menu and tap Working hours. To turn working hours off, set Every day from 00:00 to 23:59 and click Save.
Changing or Turning Off Either Setting
Bron sends you a notification when GeoLock or Working hours are turned on. If you didn't do it, use the link in that notification to turn the setting off: within 24 hours for GeoLock, within 12 hours for Working hours.
Changes that tighten protection always apply immediately. Changes that loosen it, such as removing a trusted location, widening your hours or turning a setting off, apply immediately only while you have full access. In restricted mode they wait for a security delay of at least 24 hours, which you can cancel until it ends. Only one change can be pending at a time.
⚠️ Plan ahead. If you'll need full access while travelling or outside your hours, change your settings before you leave or before your hours end. Removing your last trusted location turns GeoLock off once the security delay ends.
Limits
New devices: neither setting can be turned on right after you sign in from a new device or browser.
Trusted locations: up to 5, each with a name of up to 32 characters.
Location accuracy: a location less accurate than 500 metres, or a mock-location app, counts as outside your trusted locations.
Working hours: at least one day must be selected, each end time must be after its start time, and you can change your hours up to 10 times an hour.
