Bron Web and Desktop/Mobile App

You can use Bron via dedicated mobile applications for iOS and Android, through desktop application — available for both macOS and Windows, or through the web version in your browser.

Supported Operating Systems

To use the apps, your device must support secure authentication:

macOS

  • Minimum supported version: macOS 14.0 (Sonoma) or later.

  • Biometric authentication is required to securely access local MPC key shards stored on your device.

Supported Setups

  • MacBook Pro and MacBook Air with built-in Touch ID and Apple Secure Enclave.

  • Mac mini, iMac, and Mac Studio when used with an external Apple Magic Keyboard with Touch ID.

Not Supported

  • Macs without built-in or external biometric authentication enabled.

  • External biometric devices that are not supported by macOS secure authentication.

Windows

  • Windows Hello with biometrics and/or PIN enabled.

These requirements are mandatory to access local MPC key shards, which are stored securely on your device.

iOS and Android

iOS 15.1 or later, with Face ID or Touch ID enabled.

Android 12 (API level 31) or later, with biometric authentication (fingerprint or face unlock) enabled.

💡 Biometric authentication on mobile is used to protect local MPC key shards in the same way as on desktop.

Can I Use Only the Web Version?

Yes, you can use Bron entirely in the browser as long as you don't need to sign transactions. The web application will remain available alongside the desktop application.

Mobile Access

Bron is now available as dedicated mobile applications for iOS and Android. The mobile apps are fully operational and offer nearly the same feature set as the desktop application.

Features available on mobile:

  • Swaps

  • Sending and receiving

  • Address book

  • Policies

  • User management

  • Transaction signing with biometric authentication

  • Account management and dashboards

Features not yet available on mobile (currently in progress):

  • Staking

  • API

  • Reporting

  • Rewards / Loyalty programme

  • Fiat on/off ramp

💡 The web version remains accessible from mobile browsers. For the best mobile experience, we recommend installing the dedicated iOS or Android app.

Desktop App Installation

You can download and install the Bron app directly from the user menu on the top right corner in the web version, or during the initial account creation process. Simply follow the provided link to start the installation. It only takes a few minutes to set up and ensures secure local access to your shards.

The Bron mobile apps can be downloaded from the Apple App Store (iOS) and Google Play Store (Android). On first launch, you’ll be guided through authenticating your device and provisioning local MPC key shards, just as on desktop.

If you install the Bron app on Mac, move the app to the Applications folder during the installation.

App Updates

The Bron app updates automatically. When a new version is available, you'll see a notification window the next time you open the app:

⚠️ You need administrator permissions to complete the installation.

You can also check for updates manually:
User icon (top right corner) → Check for updates

On mobile, updates are delivered through the App Store and Google Play. Enable automatic updates in your device settings to make sure you’re always on the latest version.

⚠️ Keeping your app up to date is critical for protecting your assets and personal data. Always install the latest version when prompted.
