Hidden Account allows you to hide accounts from the Bron UI to keep balances and activity private when your screen may be visible to others.
1. Creating a Hidden Account
On Desktop:
To create an Account:
On the Accounts panel click +.
Toggle the "Hide this account" switch.
Set a unique 6-digit PIN.
Click Create.
You can create as many Hidden Accounts as you need, and assign a separate PIN to each one.
On mobile:
Go to the Accounts Dashboard by clicking the top left corner.
Press the + button in the top right corner to create a new account.
Toggle the Hide this Account switch.
Set a unique 6-digit PIN.
Click Create.
2. Showing and Hiding Hidden Accounts
By default (after login or page refresh), Hidden Accounts are not visible in the interface. Their balances, transactions, and activity are completely inaccessible until unlocked.
On desktop:
To reveal a Hidden Account:
Click the search bar above the account list.
Enter the corresponding PIN.
Select the Hidden Accounts from the search results
Once selected, the Account becomes visible and fully interactive throughout the Bron UI.
While revealed, a Hidden Account is marked with a green lock badge on its account icon, so you can always tell which accounts are currently visible.
You can hide one or all Hidden Accounts again using the "Hide" link next to each Account, or by selecting "Hide all hidden accounts" in the Accounts panel.
On Mobile:
Go to the Accounts Dashboard by clicking the top left corner.
Click the search bar below the account list.
Enter the corresponding PIN.
Select the hidden account from the search results.
3. Interface Behaviour
When a Hidden Account is hidden, it will not appear in:
The left-hand account list
The Holdings section
Overall and per-account balance summaries
The All Accounts transaction history
Transfer and Deposit forms
The Transaction Limits section
Activity logs
Transaction details (in case of transfers to/from a Hidden Account)
Reports generated for All Accounts or specific Accounts
Note: Reports generated while a Hidden Account is visible will include its balances and transactions. These reports remain downloadable from All Accounts > Reporting, even after the Account is hidden again.
⚠️ Reports generated for 'All accounts' do not include transactions or balances from hidden Accounts, regardless of their visibility. Reports for hidden Accounts can be downloaded from the Reporting tab in the hidden Account.
4. Email Notifications
Email notifications for incoming and outgoing transactions involving Hidden Accounts are not sent, to maintain privacy.
5. Resetting Hidden Account PINs
If you forget the PIN for one or more of your Hidden Accounts, you can reset all Hidden Account PINs in the workspace.
On Desktop:
Click your user avatar in the top-left corner.
Navigate to Profile Settings > Security.
Click Reset and confirm the action.
Enter your 2FA code to confirm the request.
On Mobile:
Click your user avatar in the top-right corner.
Navigate to Security. Click Reset PIN for hidden accounts.
Confirm the request with 2FA.
For security, PINs will be reset 24 hours after the request. During this waiting period, the existing PINs remain valid. A countdown timer will be shown in the Security settings.
You can cancel a pending reset at any time before the timer runs out — click Cancel reset next to the countdown in Security settings.
Once reset, you can assign new PINs via the account settings. If new PINs are not yet set, Hidden Accounts will behave like regular accounts until re-protected.
⚠️ The PIN reset affects all your Hidden Accounts in the current workspace only. Hidden Accounts in your other workspaces keep their PINs.
6. Visibility to Workspace Members
Hidden Accounts are user-specific and not workspace-specific. This means other users in your workspace will see your Hidden Accounts as regular accounts, without access to your PIN or Account contents.
7. Hidden Accounts in the Signing App
In the signing app, shards derived from Hidden Accounts appear identical to those from standard accounts.
