What is the Address Book?
The Address Book is your saved list of destinations — anywhere you regularly send assets to. Three record types live in the same list:
Crypto address — an on-chain address (BTC, ETH, USDT and so on) used as the destination in Send / Transfer.
Bron Tag — another Bron user identified by their tag (see Transfer by Tag).
Bank account — a fiat destination for off-ramping crypto to USD or EUR (see Buy & Sell Crypto with Fiat for the full flow). The bank account can be yours or a counterparty's (e.g. an invoice from a service provider).
All three appear together in your Address Book and can be picked from the appropriate destination field in Transfer or Sell.
Address Book Lock
By default, any team member can enter an external address in the Transfer form and send assets out of your workspace.
If you're operating under a zero-trust model, you can add additional controls to your workspace:
Enable Approvals for adding or modifying records in the Address Book
Enable the Address Book Lock
With these settings enabled:
An approval from a team member with the "Approve address book changes" permission must be granted to add or edit any Address Book records
Only previously approved addresses can be used as destinations when sending
⚠️ Address Book Lock does not affect Swaps; even with the lock enabled, swaps still work. The lock applies only to transactions made through the Transfer form.
To restrict swaps, use transaction limits.
You can manage these settings under Workspace → Security.
How to Manage the Address Book
On Desktop
Open the Address Book. Click Workspace settings in the top bar, then Address Book in the left-hand sidebar.
Add a record. Click Add and choose the type:
Crypto address — paste the on-chain address, pick network.
Bron Tag — enter another user's tag.
Bank account — pick the country, fiat currency, channel (SEPA / SWIFT / ACH / Fedwire) and fill in the bank details. Adding a bank account is confirmed with 2FA. Required fields per channel are listed in Buy & Sell Crypto with Fiat → Bank Account.
Rename or remove a record. Click on an item in the list to edit or delete it.
On Mobile
Open the Address Book. Tap your profile icon in the top right corner, then Address Book.
Add a record. Tap the + button in the bottom right corner and choose Crypto Address, Bron Tag, or Bank account.
Rename or remove. Tap a record, then the ••• menu.
💡 You can save many bank accounts in parallel — your own across different currencies, plus each counterparty you pay regularly. Give each a clear display name (e.g. "Chase USD" or "NetJets invoice account") to find them quickly in Sell.
