1. Creating a Hidden Vault
To create a Hidden Vault:
Open the Create Account popup.
Toggle the "Hide this vault" switch.
Set a unique 6-digit PIN.
Click Create.
You can create as many Hidden Vaults as you need, and assign a separate PIN to each one.
2. Showing and Hiding Hidden Vaults
By default (after login or page refresh), Hidden Vaults are not visible in the interface. Their balances, transactions, and activity are completely inaccessible until unlocked.
To reveal a Hidden Vault:
Click the search bar above the account list.
Enter the corresponding PIN.
Select the Hidden Vault from the search results
Once selected, the vault becomes visible and fully interactive throughout the Bron UI.
You can hide one or all Hidden Vaults again using the "Hide" link next to each vault, or by selecting "Hide all hidden accounts" in the account menu.
3. Interface Behaviour
When a Hidden Vault is hidden, it will not appear in:
The left-hand account list
The Holdings section
Overall and per-account balance summaries
The All Accounts transaction history
Transfer and Deposit forms
The Transaction Limits section
Activity logs
Transaction details (in case of transfers to/from a Hidden Vault)
Reports generated for All Accounts or specific vaults
Note: Reports generated while a Hidden Vault is visible will include its balances and transactions. These reports remain downloadable from All Accounts > Reporting, even after the vault is hidden again.
⚠️ Reports generated for 'All accounts' do not include transactions or balances from hidden vaults, regardless of their visibility. Reports for hidden vaults can be downloaded from the Reporting tab in the hidden vault.
4. Email Notifications
Email notifications for deposits and withdrawals involving Hidden Vaults are not sent, to maintain privacy.
5. Resetting Hidden Vault PINs
If you forget the PIN for one or more of your Hidden Vaults, you can reset all Hidden Vault PINs across your workspaces:
Click your user avatar in the top-left corner.
Navigate to Profile Settings > Security.
Click Reset and confirm the action.
For security, PINs will be reset 24 hours after the request. During this waiting period, the existing PINs remain valid. A countdown timer will be shown in the Security settings.
Once reset, you can assign new PINs via the account settings. If new PINs are not yet set, Hidden Vaults will behave like regular accounts until re-protected.
⚠️ The PIN reset affects all Hidden Vaults in all your workspaces.
6. Visibility to Workspace Members
Hidden Vaults are user-specific and not workspace-specific. This means other users in your workspace will see your Hidden Vaults as regular accounts, without access to your PIN or vault contents.
7. Hidden Vaults in Bron.app
In the signing app, shards derived from Hidden Vaults appear identical to those from standard accounts.
